This book will be on the anticipated impact of GATS on the Financial Services Industry in Africa. It will examine the possible positive and negative impact of the GATS agreement on the financial services industry in the African countries. The research will focus on the banking sector and the insurance sector as the main financial sectors under investigation. The chapter will then proceed to analyze the anticipated impact of GATS on the financial services industry in Africa. The third chapter will be a comparative analysis of the effects of GATS on the East Asian Countries as compared to the effects of GATS on the financial services industry in Africa.
