This book present simple solution to build, fold and deploy complex mechanism. Two approach of segmentation are discussed. Design, Simulation and manufactured in the work. The prototype assemblies of two versions are demonstrated for folding, deployment and effective of mechanisms validations, simulation and the realized versions of the design.The growing requirement in space industry demand higher resolution and there paved the way research and development into segmentation of monolithic mirror. Earlier mechanism have develops various concept of segmentation limited to single rings or have complex folding or deploying mechanism. This work focus on design and deployment of segmentation mechanism for multiple rings. Therefore, that large mirror can be segmented to smaller size into multiple rings. The main challenges in design and development of multiple ring-segmented structures in the complexity of mechanism involved.
